Gran Amor: PETITION: Stand By Animals In China
Millions of animals are caught on China’s streets and slaughtered each year for their fur. Once captured, tied and “subdued” the skinning process begins. The act takes about a minute during which the worker keeps the animal alive. This is due to the belief that it is easier to skin the animal while it is still warm and blood is actively flowing through its veins.
“This process is extremely hard to digest, but we believe it is not propelled by cruelty, but rather by ignorance and lack of awareness to animal needs.” - PTROA
