Beckman Coulter Inc.,provides lab equipment to one of the most notorious, heinous contract animal testing labs – Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS); otherwise known as Life Sciences Research in the United States. As a supplier, Beckman is responsible for 500 animals murdered each and every day inside HLS.
The lab equipment provided by Beckman are the very tools that allow the animal abusers at HLS to torture and kill an animal every 3 minutes. So called research conducted inside of HLS includes poisoning animals with household products, pesticides, drugs, herbicides, food coloring and additives, sweeteners and genetically modified organisms. HLS conducts useless and fraudulent science.
Beckman Coulter Inc. does not have an excuse. Their company is no longer ignorant of the atrocities happening inside Huntingdon. HLS has been exposed at least seven separate times for falsifying data, punching beagle puppies in the face, and cutting open primates alive with no anesthesia. In addition, the global campaign to shut down this wretched lab has been running for over a decade and has put HLS in $100 million in debt, with no commercial bank or insurance company.
Hundreds of companies, customers and investors including ARCO, Barclays, Charles Schwab, Johnson and Johnson, Marsh, Merrill Lynch, Novartis, and Xerox have stopped doing business with HLS. In addition, suppliers that were exposed along with Beckman Coulter have already dropped HLS including Samedan Ltd., Carl Stuart Group, and SoftCat Limited. We are calling on Beckman Coulter to make the same compassionate resolve.
